a bit about me:
I am an accomplished and energetic professional with a solid history of achievement in technical writing and editing, learning experience design, and project management.
I enjoy taking complex subjects and transforming them into content that's engaging and easy to understand. I take my work seriously, but not personally. Every teammate, editor, and subject matter expert I've worked with has made me a better writer, and I always go the extra distance to produce high quality content.
A grammar nerd at heart, I worked as a private EFL teacher for many years while living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This experience has played a direct role in my ability to write clearly, concisely, and for a global audience.
I returned to the U.S. in 2010 and worked on a freelance basis as an instructional designer, technical writer, and project manager for 6 years. In 2017 I joined Amazon, where I'm currently a lead editor for the AWS Knowledge Center.
